Passive-Dynamic-Walking-Inspired Dynamics Guidance for Energy-Efficient Humanoid Locomotion
This paper proposes a framework inspired by passive dynamic walking (PDW) to achieve energy-efficient humanoid locomotion. By creating slope-equivalent conditions and removing PDW-specific guidance during optimization, the framework reduces mechanical cost of transport by 6.8-15.2% in simulated experiments and 16.3% on hardware with a motion prior, without degrading velocity tracking.
