LiDAR-based Humanoid Navigation in Dynamic, Non-Convex Environments via Spatio-Temporal Safe Corridors
LiDAR-based Humanoid Navigation in Dynamic, Non-Convex Environments via Spatio-Temporal Safe Corridors
This research presents a real-time navigation framework for humanoid robots in dynamic, non-convex environments. The method constructs spatio-temporal safe corridors from LiDAR-based particle representations and integrates them with Linear Inverted Pendulum planning and Whole Body Control. Simulations on the Digit humanoid achieve a 96% success rate in navigating around and inside moving non-convex obstacles, with robustness to clutter, sensor noise, and control delays.
