Meta Partners with Fourier to Develop Humanoid Robot Max; Second Generation Under Development
Meta携手中国傅里叶开发人形机器人Max!第二代启动研发、搭载英伟达芯片
Meta is collaborating with Chinese robotics firm Fourier on a humanoid robot prototype named Max, intended as an embodied form of its AI agent Muse. The first-generation prototype, completed in about three months, stands roughly 1.5 meters tall, weighs approximately 48 kilograms, and uses an NVIDIA Jetson Thor chip. Meta has launched development of the second generation (Max 2), which features a redesigned torso, improved hand mechanics, added projectors, and sensors for stair-climbing. The partnership remains limited to internal research with no sales plans or launch timeline confirmed.
