Meta Partners with Fourier to Develop Humanoid Robot Prototype Max

Meta has partnered with Chinese robotics company Fourier to develop a humanoid robot prototype named Max, which is intended to serve as the physical embodiment of Meta's AI agent Muse. While Meta plans to advance development on a second generation (Max 2) starting in September, the current system remains in internal research and development with no immediate plans for commercialization or public deployment. The collaboration leverages Fourier's existing hardware engineering capabilities and supply chain maturity, while Meta aims to transition its software-based AI interactions into physical environments.
