Shandong Tai'an Welcomes Intelligent Climbers: Robots Compete in Real-World Mountain Passage

The first CMG World Robot Mount Tai Competition opened on November 2 in Tai'an, Shandong. Nearly 90 teams competed in races for humanoid and legged robots, as well as specialized events for load-bearing and exoskeleton assistance, on a course from Red Gate to Zhongtian Gate covering approximately 3.9 kilometers with over 3,100 steps. Legged robots carried loads including eggs, mineral water, and thermos flasks, while humanoid robots navigated alternating flat and stepped terrain. The event tested robots in natural mountain environments rather than standardized laboratory settings. Beijing Lingyi Technology's Unitree A2 won the legged robot race with a time of 43 minutes 41 seconds; Zhi Shen Lingyue's Zhi Shen NE01 won the humanoid robot race with a time of 27 minutes 26 seconds; and Ling Si Intelligent's D50 won the load-bearing competition with an integral score of 400 points.
